Celebrate Sportingness in Your Life!

In coming weeks we will discuss various aspects of Business Management or Current Fads in Professional Urban Lifestyle for which Organisations and Individuals are trying different tools and technologies without much success of achieving any measurable success. Whereas these fads or aspects are taught or can be learned by simply playing a sport, simple!

We start with Leadership which is very commonly used word in every aspect of life these days. Everyone is looking for people with great leadership qualities and when you enquire everyone has leadership qualities also.

Leadership is one of those words that everybody has a slightly different take on it. How you conduct yourself in any given circumstances; how you inspire yourself and others around you; how you treat and manage people; how you react when things are not going your way or going the opposite way or the worse part you face a temporary defeat; when you are just a member of time; in all of this few mentioned situations leadership is tested.

A “self - inspired” person can become a “good leader” under any circumstances, if we want to put it very simply -“If I am not able to pull myself from not very pleasing situation in life - how can I ever imagine that I will be able to lead people with their individual dreams and interest and direct them for a common goal or target”. Self Inspiration comes with life’s learning and experience. Special Combat Forces across the world do not select people who have not faced difficult circumstances in life. This is based on a common sense approach that since the person has not seen or experienced any adverse situation in life, it is not clear whether he/she will be able to respond in the field of duty where decisions are taken on instincts and making necessary judgments on the given situation at that point of time.

People and Organizations spend enormous amount of time and financial resources in learning about “Leadership” but surprisingly they miss out on the simple; most effective and primary step of learning and experiencing “Leadership” by playing any Sports. A sport teaches people about different facets of practical learning’s which are equally essential for life as much as technical learning.

Any day you walk into any sporting arena and play the sport, you will experience numerous opportunities of showing and learning leadership. During any game you will further experience your level conviction in your own decisions you are making based on different circumstances and challenges offered in that short period of game is far more than any other work sphere. And above all you will be able to analyze your communication skills and compatibility with your team mates from different socio-economic and cultural background. A day in field will give you the opportunity to learn about important aspects of behavioral skills which most critical for success of any individual or company or institutions.

Our Culture - Our Core Believe - Our Approach shapes our dimensions and forms our pillars which help in shaping and making our life worthwhile. Because it doesn’t matter what are your skills and what profession you are working, today everyone is asking or checking whether you can have the flexibility, integrity, humor and are you result oriented or not. It’s your choice whether you play a sport and learn or ……………………………………..
Live life a sporting way, be open, honest and constructive; demand excellence; take intelligent risks; and act like an owner. And that’s what a True Leader should be and searched for in organisations where people matters.

Sports will Lead to be leader in Life. Play Sports – Support Sports – Sports A Way 2 Live Life

"Winning is a habit" speach by Vince Lombardi

Winning is a habit (Vince Lombardi)

As we start a New Year with High Hopes, Desires, Ambition and Aspiration let's listen to the "Coach of the Century" by ESPN, Vince Lombardi.
Vince Lombardi is remembered for his dedication, his infectious enthusiasm and his unforgettable quotes that continue to echo in locker rooms around the world. Click here to know more about Vince Lombardi

Watch, Listen and Read one his finest and motivating speeches:

"Winning is not a sometime thing; it's an all the time thing. You don't win once in a while; you don't do things right once in a while; you do them right all the time. Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.

"There is no room for second place. There is only one place in my game, and that's first place. I have finished second twice in my time at Green Bay, and I don't ever want to finish second again. There is a second place bowl game, but it is a game for losers played by losers. It is and always has been an American zeal to be first in anything we do, and to win, and to win, and to win.

"Every time a football player goes to play his trade he's got to play from the ground up - from the soles of his feet right up to his head. Every inch of him has to play. Some guys play with their heads. That's O.K. You've got to be smart to be number one in any business. But more importantly, you've got to play with your heart, with every fiber of your body. If you're lucky enough to find a guy with a lot of head and a lot of heart, he's never going to come off the field second.

"Running a football team is no different than running any other kind of organization - an army, a political party or a business. The principles are the same. The object is to win - to beat the other guy. Maybe that sounds hard or cruel. I don't think it is.

"It is a reality of life that men are competitive and the most competitive games draw the most competitive men. That's why they are there - to compete. To know the rules and objectives when they get in the game. The object is to win fairly, squarely, by the rules - but to win.

"And in truth, I've never known a man worth his salt who in the long run, deep down in his heart, didn't appreciate the grind, the discipline. There is something in good men that really yearns for discipline and the harsh reality of head to head combat.

"I don't say these things because I believe in the 'brute' nature of man or that men must be brutalized to be combative. I believe in God, and I believe in human decency. But I firmly believe that any man's finest hour - his greatest fulfillment to all he holds dear - is that moment when he has to work his heart out in a good cause and he's exhausted on the field of battle - victorious". --Vince Lombardi
